I just returned from Australia and my "memory piece" from my 2011 trip was this cookbook. I usually collect art, but this book just spoke to me. I first saw it while staying with a friend in Sydney in January 2010 and have been thinking about it ever since. While in Melbourne a few weeks ago, I happened upon a copy (not at Books for Cooks, alas, but I did spend some quality time there this year!) and bought it on the spot. I lugged this beloved book from Melbourne to Hobart to Sydney and back to the US in my backpack so it would stay safe - and so I didn't have to pay for the extra weight it would have added to my checked luggage. I haven't been home long enough to make a recipe from it yet, but I can't wait. I am also looking forward to the spring so I can put some of her gardening tips to the test.
