- Mary00 voted for:cereal milkWow! If you like cornflakes or anything remotely resembling cornflakes, then you must give this recipe a try. It is a bit time consuming but definitely worth it when you have your first taste. A few notes on the recipe. I used unflavored gelatin powder since I can't find the sheets. The avocado puree is optional in my opinion. The chocolate-hazelnut thing is a must. I used nutella instead of making praline paste and I skipped the gianduja. Everything came out great.

1 recipe note | Add a recipe notespicy pork sausage & rice cakesThis is a wonderful recipe if you like rice cakes. Instead of pork, I used shittake mushrooms. I also used a bit less chili than what was called for. This dish makes a wonderful leftover. No likes Can’t Like Unlike Like No likesand commented on:Pan Roasted Asparagus in Miso ButterI love miso butter! This is a great way to cook the asparagus. The first time I tried it, I follow the instructions but the dish came out a bit too oily. So instead of roasting the asparagus, I just sauteed them with the miso butter (premade). The dish still came out great!1 like Can’t Like Unlike Like 1 like
- spinach chopI know the key ingredient is spinach. But since I had a bunch of kale at hand, I decided to go with that. This is a great side dish packed with fiber and proteins. Very garlicky too. The harissa gave it a interesting flavor.

Nothing really difficult about the recipe. The cookies came out great. Very dense, nutty, and buttery. Goes really well with your afternoon tea.No likes Can’t Like Unlike Like No likesand commented on:Maple Syrup SconesI've never made any scones from scratch. Usually, I'd buy it in a premixed bag. But since I've got my hands on this book, I thought I give it a try. The directions were easy enough to follow. The scones came out great. And to top it off, I've converted my scone hating husband into a fan. He actually ate more of these scones than I did. Tastes great as is or with soup.No likes Can’t Like Unlike Like No likes
- Roasted StrawberriesI wanted to try something different with strawberries but didn't know what. So, I decided to turn to Heidi's cookbook. And lo and behold, there was a recipe. I was skeptical at first because I've never combined olive oil and strawberries. But these turned out perfect. I made a big batch. These roasted strawberries goes well with ice cream and oatmeals. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

It's simple to make and keeps fresh for a whole week. I used the maple syrup and the coconut oil. However, I did decrease the natural cane sugar since I don't have much of a sweet tooth. The only gripe I have about the oatcakes is that they tend to become very hard after a few days. Overall, I still like the way these oatcakes turned out and have made them twice already.

I made these once and am planning to make them again. Very nice buttery biscuits. not too hard to do. I did not vary the recipe at all. The only problem is that mine didn't come out as good looking as Heidi's photo.1 like Can’t Like Unlike Like 1 like
Hmmm...this was not my favorite recipe in the book. I tried to like it (made it twice). I did not do any variations. However, this is a fun way eat oats.No likes Can’t Like Unlike Like No likes - OtsuSeed-Crusted Amaranth BiscuitsEspresso Banana MuffinsAwesome biscuits. I was not much of a baker until I started trying out Heidi's recipe. This one was easy and savory. Really like the crunchy, crusty top. I didn't have all the seeds so I just double the portion of what I had. Also, I had to use ground flax seed as that was what I had one hand. Tastes great the next day after warming and putting on some butter.
1 like Can’t Like Unlike Like 1 likeThis is a great muffin recipe. Super simple and stays moist for days. You definitely need ripe bananas. Also, definitely use the instant espresso powder. I tried with instant coffee but didn't get much taste. Second time around, I found the instant espresso powder in the grocery store. Although I can taste more coffee, I'd put more than what the recipe calls for. Also, because I LOVE coffee. :-)
1 like Can’t Like Unlike Like 1 likeThis is a great go to recipe. Very simple, healthy, and refreshing. I usually make this dish when I have excess cilantro in the fridge. There's a similar version of this in Heidi's newer cookbook too. Leftover potential is great. Good to bring for work lunch. No likes Can’t Like Unlike Like No likes
2 likes Can’t Like Unlike Like 2 likesThis is my favorite cookbook. I've recently started to eat mainly vegetarian meals and wanted something more creative. I love Heidi's writing and photos. Very inspirational. Most of the dishes are easy to make. I've already remade many of the dishes. I'm looking forward to cooking through the entire book!
