Another one of my top cookbooks, Sara Foster makes doable dishes, but each one is unique. "New southern recipes" use seasonal produce, but feel like hearty, old fashioned dishes. She gives great ideas on what to serve with each dish and ways to reuse leftovers in a different way. I love her chapter titles too: "Meals that cook themselves" and "simple soups." Yum! |

Barefoot is one of my all-time favorites and it's located in the easy-access cookbook shelf in my kitchen. I love her roast chicken (also her husband's favorite). Ina's recipes are so simple, but flavorful. Great for cooks of all levels. |

This is one of my favorite cookbooks. I love Madison's profiles of the different farmers' markets throughout the country. The photos are beautiful and each section truly tells a story. Who knew Alaska has farmers' markets?? Madison speaks to people and connects with them on the pages of the book, and I connect with them through her and the recipes! I work for two Georgia farms so any time we have something new, I go right to this cookbook to see what Madison suggests. If you love cooking with whole foods, seasonally, this is the cookbook for you. It also makes a great gift because of the lovely photographs and colors. |
