Another great book by the bold Jamie. He has a huge capacity to make simple food enticing. In this book he visits Spain, Sweden, France, Greece, Morocco and Italy. He meets with local people, gathers recipes and adds his own twist to most of them. He has a very irreverant way with food which make his recipes very accessible and encourages you to experiment. This is a great book for summer as the recipes are mostly from Mediterenean countries. |

I love the title of this book and the idea behind it where Nigella thinks about different occasions for celebrations and creates recipes to go with them. As a vegetarian I am limited in it though as there are very few. She says herself that she has difficulty with vegeterian recipes. Having said this her vegetarian Cornbread Chilli is delicious. I have also made some of the cakes that are very good and my husband has cooked some of the meat dishes and I am reliabley informed that they are very good! |
