Sparkling Ginger Chip Cookies from 101cookbooks.comAdd this cookbook1 like Can’t Like Unlike Like 1 like
This book is amazing! My other favorite recipe is the Watermelon Curry. Who would have thought watermelon would go so well with savory Indian-ish flavors? Modern is a very apt title. The recipes are all different and new (to me, anyway) and yet still easy to make. They don't require you have access to a specialty store, which I appreciate, but are still very elegant recipes.
- Tomato, Cardamom, and Coconut SauceThis recipe is probably the best recipe I've ever made from a cookbook. Seriously. It is so flavorful and different and easy. It's very impressive to make for people for dinner, and the ingredients are available at even the most perfunctory market. Amazing. No likes Can’t Like Unlike Like No likes

I always get raves when I make these cookies. They have a great gingery-chocolatey taste and a really nice crunch from the large sugar. The recipe is pretty foolproof -- the measurements are all really accurate. Shaving the chocolate takes some time, but I know the effort will result in something wonderful. It's not dependent on having really good technique (like properly tempering chocolate which is common in chocolate cookie recipes and which I suck at). They also look really pretty.
