I created my own take on Marcella's tomato sauce.  I saute my onion, sliced in the butter and then when soft, I add two minced garlic cloves.  Saute for 1 minute, then add my tomatoes.  Simmer for about 30 minutes.  Then I add some salt and pepper and let it cool.  Then I puree and freeze.  My family was not convinced that I had made this.  They thought it came from a restaurant.
